Personal note; update to yesterday's monumental mess...

These things happen. For sure.

But yesterday was pretty overwhelming; at the end of the day I didn't feel seventy-one any more ... more like ninety-one. First the two chunks of my newsletter went astray; then I posted one of those to this LJ and sent out a note to the subscribers telling them it was there; then I tried five times -- without success -- to make the LJ-cut code work on that overlong post, and had to give up and delete it, which meant I had to send out a note to the subscribers telling them to ignore the previous note -- and then, believe it or not, our Internet connection went down. [I was so grateful that I was able to get all the notes out, and the overlong post deleted, before we lost the Net!]

We're back online this morning, thank heavens. But it may not last; they're predicting severe thunderstorms for us here, with a flash flood watch, followed by rain and snow and sleet, with several inches accumulation. If I go missing, that will be the reason.

I've been reading all your comments and suggestions, and am so grateful for your help. You needn't worry that I'm going to try to post the newsletters in this journal, even if I do manage to figure out how that cottonpicking LJ-code process works. So help me: I followed all of the instructions exactly, but I'm doing something wrong.

I don't know yet what I'm going to do to solve the problems with the newsletters, but you've given me an abundant assortment of choices for solutions. I'll start exploring them, and we'll see what happens.

Thank you.
