ozarque figure

Personal note....

I'm off to my dentist this morning with a badly broken molar to be attended to -- which meant getting up at five a.m., since he's an hour's drive away; it's a bit after six now. (No matter what it says on your computer screen, it's a bit after six.) I'm very grateful that the tooth waited to break until the morning after I got home from WisCon, and am hoping nothing truly awful will have to be done. Last time it broke, my dentist -- who is the world's best dentist, bar none -- just reconstructed the broken tooth on the spot with some sort of extrudable silicone product, in about five minutes flat. He warned me that it might not last a week, but it lasted a year, including lasting all the way through WisCon; I have no complaints. What will happen now, however, I have no idea.

I am in Dental Suspense, which is one of the worst kinds; but it helps to have the world's best dentist.

Personal note... update...

The dental thing is over; it turned out to be ghastly enough to take three-and-a-half hours. I'm home, but am too groggy to make any sense; I won't try posting again until tomorrow.

Thank you for all your good wishes.
